National Agency supports youth to gain international experience
Abdulkadir Gül

National Agency is an institution that leads great changes in our country in the fields of education, youth, and sport. We ensure the implementation of European Union-supported programs such as Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Programme at the national level. Thanks to these programs, our young people and educators can gain international experience and continue their personal and professional development. Here, we are working hard for the successful implementation of the projects. Every day, we cooperate with educational institutions, NGOs, and youth groups to assess, support, and guide their project applications. We aim to ensure the highest level of benefit from these programs and to increase the competitiveness of our country in the field of education and youth in the international arena. As the National Agency, we are not only a funding organization; we also play an active role in information sharing, training, and capacity building. We guide project owners with the training, seminars, and information days we organize. In this way, we encourage the emergence of more effective and sustainable projects.

Investing in the Future Günay said that the work of the Turkish National Agency is an investment in the future and added: “The biggest source of motivation for us is to see the positive change we create in people’s lives with the realization of the projects.
Project Development Specialist: Ersoy Günay
Günay, who plays a critical role in the evaluation process of the projects submitted by associations to the National Agency, emphasizes the importance of projects that will benefit society. Günay emphasizes that projects must meet certain criteria to be successful. According to Günay, it is important that the projects have clear and measurable objectives, meet real needs in society, and ensure sustainability. In addition, effective use of resources and in-depth planning of the project process are also vital for success. Stating that they are in close cooperation with associations during the project development process, Günay says that they emphasize the strengths of the projects and provide support in improving their weaknesses. He states that this approach enables the selection of projects that will contribute to the welfare of society and have sustainability. Günay emphasizes that thanks to this support provided by project development experts during the evaluation process of projects by the National Agency, priority is given to the realization of projects needed in various areas of society, thus increasing the welfare of society.

“By participating in volunteering projects such as Associazione Anidra Università Popolare and ‘Time to Empathize’, I have learned a lot through the experiences provided to me by the European Solidarity Programme. These projects make great contributions to young people not only personally but also professionally. It is very important for us young people that the National Agency supports such projects.
Taking part in these projects enabled me to get to know different cultures and improve my empathy skills. It strengthened my leadership, problem-solving solving, and teamwork skills. With the support of the National Agency, I had the chance to gain a broad perspective while working abroad in a safe environment.
